Maybe that's what my problem. Well, part of it anyway. Not like I can do anything about it right now. Except visit as soon as possible.
When I speak of home, I mean Bellingham. The one place I've lived in my life that I really loved, so for me, no matter where I end up, Bellingham will always be home.
On that note...
Benjamin Gibbard, of course, being our hometown boy. One of my top 3 DC songs.

My randomness at it's finest
Just so you have a little forewarning, I'm in a rather odd frame of mind right now. So while this may seem somewhat random to you, trust me, in my brain, it all makes absolutely perfect sense.
It's been a rather odd beginning so far to this new year.
Ever hear that saying "sometimes the silence can be deafening"? It's true...
Why do people who have had never had to fight or even work very hard for anything, almost always the first ones to shit on people who have nothing?
I find it rather odd that people who don't even know I, or most other people exist, except as a possible voter, are the ones in charge of our collective fate. By our own hands, or better yet, lack of...
Why do so many people try to be something they're not?
I wish that village in Texas would take back their fucking idiot already. We don't want him.....never did, as a matter of fact.
I find it very amusing that 'older' celebrities are finding it necessary to share this much of their lives with the public. You know, pretty much every 'reality' show shown on VH-1 at this point is of this genre.
Even when your a person who generally trusts no one, sometimes trust, and a little bit of faith are the only things that can get you by in your confusion.
I can't wait to leave California. This place is getting more ridiculous every damn day. My theory is because we are so fucking close to Hollywood, and these idiotic shows about what people think the "O.C." is, more people keep moving here all the time. Blleehhhhhhh.....
Six Flags Magic Mountain is California's only redeeming quality. That's why I'm staying here a little longer, so I can take Dan and Laura when they come visit. It will be a grand finale like no other.
This one has been bugging me all day. When did people get so fucking selfish? When was it okay to make senior citizens, pregnant women, and children stand on the bus, so you and you damn bags could have 4 fucking seats to yourself?? Are you fucking serious?
I think there should be certain things you should have to take test to acquire. If you can't pass it, no go. Some of things should be...
1) to own a pet
2) being allowed a cell phone; hell, a phone in general
3) being allowed to eat in restaurants
4) being allowed to order delivery from a restaurant; your too lazy to come get it, and too
cheap to use your own gas, but you don't believe in tipping the driver? Fuckhead.
5) to be allowed on the internet. Period. No provisions.
I think I've more than made my point, and if I missed anything, which I'm sure I did, your more than welcome to say so.
Missing people important to you rather sucks ass.
Finding out you were more important to some people than you ever realized makes up for it.
See....only to me.

Just a quick update
Well, tomorrow, I'm finally gonna do it. As soon as I'm done with this post, I'm going to bed. That's early for me. When the rest of you are getting up like normal people and going to work, around 7 or 8am, I'm either just going to bed, or getting ready to. Then, around the time you are taking your lunch break, say anywhere between 11am and 1pm, I'm waking up to start my day. I know, silly.
Since I'll be in bed no later than 3am, I should be awake somewhere around 8am. Which gives me plenty of time to get my shit together, get some bills paid, and go to Best Buy before I go to work. Which means I can get lots of stuff to post tomorrow night when I get home from work. Which means I'll finally be able to post plenty I haven't wanted to do without pictures. I can finally send my sweetie pictures of what I look like NOW, instead of the old one he has from when I was still fat.lol
So more changes will be coming tomorrow, the blog will look completely different again, just because.
Stay tuned. :)

See, I'm not THAT mean...
I know when it comes to work, it may seem like I'm a bitch to everyone. Not the case. Only to the people that think they can come into the restaurant and think they can treat me and my fellow employees any way they choose.
If you treat us in according manner though, we will do damn near anything to make our customers happy. We are lucky enough to have quite a few regular customers who are always nice to us, so things usually balance out.
For those of you who order food out, especially pizza, may know that most of the bigger chains take internet orders now, as to cut down on phone traffic and mistakes. My restaurant does this, and it has its ups and downs. A couple of the downs being that the internet doesn't know when we run out of product, so we have to call back some of our customers, and they don't always pick up. The other is that there is a comment section for special instructions, which far too many people abuse. Usually we just roll our eyes about it, as most comments entail, "bring us everything you can that we can get for free", or "I know the delivery time is supposed to be an hour and a half, but get it here sooner if you can", and other such gems. The most common is to have their pizza cut special, mostly smaller pieces or square cut. But a couple of weeks ago...
...we get an internet order, with special cut instructions for the second of their two pizzas...
It says, "cut pizza into Mickey Mouse". No bullshit.
Since I was the one cutting, I was the first one to see it. I started laughing, and called everyone over to see it. We all got a good laugh about it, then it happened.
"You dare me?", I asked everyone. To which they all said, "hell yes!"..of course.
So with the cut blade and kitchen knife in hand, I damn well did. I must say, considering that it only took about 2 minutes (I had other stuff coming out of the oven), and the tools I had to work with, it came out pretty damn good.
After everyone took pictures of it, Ian insisted on being the one to deliver it. He wanted to be the one to show it to them. Turns out when he got there, they had no idea about the ticket, as they had their daughter place the order. But they were more than amused that we had actually done it.
One of the many reasons my regular customers love me and the other employees.
So without further ado...

Red Vs. Blue PSA - "Let's all go to the movies"
I haven't done one of these in a while, but not because I've stopped watching it or something. Since Kat, Kyle, and I displayed an unusual amount of unruly behavior when we went to the movies a couple of weeks ago, I felt this one was more than appropriate. But as I said before, we only did it because there was only around 7 people in the theatre.
Funny as hell... :)
Funny as hell... :)
The lesson for today is...proper restaurant behavior.
Yeah, yeah...I've been busy, what can I say? Work is very demanding right now.
On that note...
I remember when I first saw the trailer for this movie, I immediately wanted to go see it. But due to my ever fluctuating schedule, this was not to be. On a visit to Dan and Laura's, I spent a lot of time re-organizing (OCD) Dan's movie collection. Also spent a lot of time watching movies. When he found out I hadn't seen this one yet, he about broke his legs to get it in the DVD player so I could watch it.
The movie I speak of is "Waiting...", and if you have ever worked in the food/customer service industry, you would know this movie is an eerily accurate portrayal of the people who work in said jobs, me, of course, being one of them.
Just from my job at the P.H., I can place one of my friends/employees for each character in this movie, myself included. I swear the people who made this movie met me before they created the character "Naomi". XD
Unfortunately, the clip that USED to be here is no longer available *sighs*.
But this one is...what you would have seen at any of the parties between May 2001 and June 2002, when we ruled the Bellingham Pizza Hut...
AAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to writing....
I think it's time for me to start writing again. Not just posting music and movie clips and shit like that. Not that I'm not gonna still do that, I totally am. I'm just going to start writing a lot more now.
I don't use New Year's as an excuse to turn over a new leaf, or start something different. I just decide to do something, then do it.
I'm now beginning the process of getting things in order to move from California, finally. That will be taking place in spring of this year, and I'm very excited about that.
I no longer qualify as the "fat one"lol It's the first time in my life where I'm honestly comfortable with myself. Starting the last leg of my diet/exercise program this week, something else I'm excited about, since I'm so damn close to my goal. It's been a years long process, but for my health, and finally being able to feel good about myself, it's worth it.
I have wonderful friends. I plan to do my best to keep those friendships nurtured, since my friends ARE my family, and without them, I wouldn't be here, writing this.
My brothers and sisters are all very important to me. They don't always remember, because of the distances between us all. I plan on changing that as well, because I would give my life to save any of theirs, without a second thought.
Like I said, this blog is you getting to know me. This is it. These are the things going on in my head, all the time. That, and many other things.
I don't think I've done this yet, and if I haven't it's long overdue. A huge thank you to the person who told me I should make this blog public. Who convinced me that other people besides him would love to read it. "I'm always right" is something I hear from him quite often. Unfortunately, that fucker has held true to that so far.lol So to my sweetie, I say thank you. If not for him, no one else would have ever seen it.
And thank you to everyone who visits, has visited, and/or commented. I appreciate all the support, it means a lot. :)

More of what I listen to
As I'm sure you've already noticed, I mainly listen to rock music, in it's many shapes and forms. But it's far from the only music I listen to. That being said, when I was younger, I listened to a lot more "pop" music. That's because to me, it was a lot better back then. Now, it's rare I hear anything of that 'genre' that's worth listening to. There are some, though. Here are a few of them:
"S.O.S." - Rihanna
"Rosa Parks" - Outkast (still my favorite song of theirs)
"Jesus Walks" - Kanye West This song made me a fan, still my fav.
To me, true musical talent is always revealed in a live performance. Taking into account that any musician is entitled to a bad night, you can usually still tell the difference between an off night, and bullshit. That being said, let's move on..
"No One (live)" - Alicia Keys This girl is beyond talented. And have you seen "Smokin' Aces"? How can you not love her? :)
Last but not least for this post....
It's almost a requirement....almost. If you grew up in So. Cal. in the 90's, you probably love his music, too.
"Dear Mama" - Tupac Shakur I still love his music to this day. Always will.

Finally back
Ahhh, the first post of the new year. What can I say? I've been sick. I don't function well when I'm sick. Since last Sunday, I have only posted twice, and never got to the letters I said I was gonna write when I did the last post. I've done two things since that day. Sleep and work. That's it. I'm better now. So much to catch up on.
I did do one cool thing this week though. I got up long enough Wednesday (my day off) to go to the movies with a couple of friends.
"Alien vs. Predator: Requiem". We fucking loved it!!!!!
The story is not great, and fairly predictable, to the point of being funny. The thing is, "AvP" is not the kind of movie that you go to see for the story.
The reasons we wanted to see it, the Aliens, and one KICK ASS Predator, made this movie great. The fight scenes were great. The killing of stupid humans, even better.
It was also great, since Kyle, Kat and I were the only people in the theatre for at least the first 15 minutes. Only 6 more people showed up, but went all the way to the back, so we were still pretty much alone in there. We totally took advantage of this by talking to the screen, cheering when the characters we hated got taken out, etc. Fun times were had by all.
Then I came home and went back to bed. Pretty much slept until I had to get up for work the next day. Yesterday, I felt a lot better. Slept some more just to make sure.
Today...all better. Had to deal with Brandon for about an hour today, which of course brought on a headache. Amazingly, when he left, it disappeared. The rest of the night went okay too. Didn't have to argue with any customers, no asshole moments, very nice.
Tomorrow (well, really later today).....back to blogging. :)
