Something new yet again

So just a little fair warning...I have a new contributing author to this blog.

He is my best friend, Dan Glasser. We met almost 7 years ago when I moved to Bellingham. He worked at Pizza Hut as a driver, and I was hired there my first week in town. I met him the first day I was there, and then he just kinda disappeared (turns out he went home to Michigan on vacation). When he got back, we just ended up becoming friends from the get. He's a great guy who you can't help but like, is married to an even greater girl, Laura, who is also one of my best friends, and if you get to be friends with either of them, you should consider yourself very blessed. Yes, they are both really that great.

So as Dan is a writer, someone who shares a lot of my opinions on the world in general, has the same fucked up sense of humor I do, knows more about me that most, and who has many opinions and funny stories of his own to share, I figure who better to blog with me?

Now, I should warn you of something. Dan's sense of time differs from pretty much everyone else's in the world. He could show up everyday for the next week, or maybe not show up for the first time until three months from now..

Who's to say? We're all gonna find out together..

Red vs Blue - Fourth of July PSA

so this is the second one I promised you. I have a love/hate relationship with the 4th of July, which has alot to do with the fact that this PSA is my favorite.

Plus, Caboose rules this one, because well, Caboose rules!!

I will be posting one PSA everyday...'til I run out.

Red vs Blue - Real Life vs. Internet PSA

So since I am constantly go on and on about how much I LOVE Red vs. Blue. Now I will show you what the big damn deal is. Even if you have never been near the game "Halo", you will still get a good laugh out of this. Yes, it is that damn funny. This is the first "PSA" I saw, so it is the first one I give you, and there will be one more following shortly.

Just a quick side note

So as I stated once before (or maybe twice), I'm still in the learning process of this whole internet/computer deal. I've spent most of my free time playing video games of the console variety, so I really never had any need to own a computer. Then I moved to California. I decided that since I despise the telephone, it was probably a good idea to buy a computer, so I could stay in touch with my friends.

My PS2 is staging a revolt, due to the neglect it has suffered in the last few months. It only works when it feels like it now...good thing that isn't very often anymore. Especially now since "Halo" has overtaken most of my gaming time.

I have also not been blogging, because I was frustrated with the fact that I have not been entirely happy lately with the feel of it. Most of that has to do with my inexperience. Which is why I'm here to remind you that many changes will be taking place over the next 6 months or so around here. So please be patient if your one of the couple of people who actually come here...

As you can see, I did learn something new...how to post videos...somewhat. So with the addition of the digital camera I will have no later than Monday, many changes will be forthcoming. With more changes due in the new year. So we'll see where it goes.

My way of getting into the Christmas spirit

I've made no secret about how I feel about Christmas. I love the idea behind it (not the religious one), but don't care to participate in the financial act of it. If I want to get a gift for someone special, I sure as hell don't feel compelled to make them wait for fucking Christmas.

So to get into the spirit of the holiday, I usually watch the few same X-mas movies, and look for new funny things to watch. "South Park" is pretty damn good at it, as is another favorite of mine...

Yes, it is time for the Christmas edition of clips from "Robot Chicken"...

"The Lion, The Witch, and the Locker" - If you liked the Chronicles of Narnia, you'll love this.

"Office Christmas Parties" - pretty self explanatory.

"Misery, my sweet babboo" - Charlie Brown is cool, and still has one of the best Christmas specials. This Charlie Brown Christmas is a little more twisted, but funny as hell.

So have fun..

Romeo and Juliet- They Meet

I saw this movie for the first time last Friday, and this scene made the whole movie for me.

Learning new things...

You are never too old to learn something new. They say, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"....that's just fucking nonsense. That's only true if the proverbial dog doesn't want to learn...

That being said, I have learned a new trick recently. Something I've had no real interest in learning before. What do I speak of?

...patience....

I hate waiting. For anything. If I have something planned for say, a month from now, I get all fidgity about it, and am usually bouncing off the walls a couple of days prior.

So since my sweetie is 1,000's of miles away right now, I've had to learn...fuck....

You may wonder why I don't put his name on this....frankly....

It's none of your fucking business.... :)

Honestly, it's because there are a few people in my life that will be led here by others who mean well, and those people I want kept out of that part of my life, so for now, certain things will be left out of this. Besides, we're both enjoy our privacy. Believe me, what I do share here is VERY general stuff.

Anyway....back to the point...

I guess patience can be a virtue. It still sucks. I have gotten rather good at it, though. I don't get much of him on the weekends, which was only bad the first couple of weeks. It is for a great reason though, so I adjusted. See.....patience...

During the weekdays, it's more of a matter of trying to figure out each others respective schedules so we know when we can spend time together. Also takes a fair amount of patience. Good thing there is a day planner on my phone. He has a slew of dates where he isn't working, so the only way I can keep track is to put them in my phone's appointment section.....so it can remind me.

In my learning patience, I have also learned something else....

The value of saying NO once in a fucking while.

Now that I actually have a private life again, I find that never saying no when people ask me for favors can really interfere with that. So "moderation" is also an interesting thing. One that goes quite well with patience. And in learning and engaging in the use of said virtues, I have been trying to teach my sweetie something he hasn't had very good luck with in the past....

....Compromise.....

Certain things I will have to go without now, due to allergies, or health issues. There are things on my end as well, that may require a bit of a compromise, but nothing major. You know what though? That's the way it's supposed to be. Relationships, the real ones, take certain amounts of everything....patience, compromise, understanding, and above all, honesty. So in case you need me to put it more clearly, yes, it's work. Thing is....

He is so very worth it.

08 December 2007

I have been so very neglectful to my poor blog. To pretty much everything in my life this week.

It has been a very, very long week.

My boss is on vacation. Which means I get to be in charge the four days she's gone. Which basically sucks ass. Big time. I am generally a closing manager, as anyone who has had any contact with me ever knows I'm not a morning person. I have been up early every damn day this week. Not a happy camper at all.

And of course, every shit thing that could have happened, did. As usual. I am so glad it will be a minimum of 3 days before I see that fucking place again.
Tuesday...it was so-so...
Wednesday was the most fucked up day we have had in a long time. I got to be there at 7am that day, making it all the more special.
Thursday was just being all tensed up from the day before, and a strange overabundance of stupidity from a lot of the customers.

Today (Friday) was different though. It was supposed to pour down rain today, which in Orange County is the equivalent of a snowstorm anywhere else. So when it rains, we are always crazy busy.

It didn't rain today.

It was cloudy and stuff, sprinkled a couple of times, but that was about it. Because of this, it was slow as hell. There is always more employees on Friday, as it is usually busy because of that fact. So by 1 o'clock, I had 3 drivers, 2 cooks, Susie on phones and me. There were more employees than customers. Everything was done. We got bored real fast...

So I went and got one of those disposable cameras and took some pictures of the people I work with....well, the ones I'm actually friends with....I'm not a fucking hypocrite...I don't pretend to like people I don't. Waste of time.

I didn't get everybody, but I got a few of them...

This is my friend Kyle. He is the first person I became friends with when I first got here. As you can see, he took this one himself...lol

This is Kenny, our resident man whore...lol Okay, he was..not since he met Sadie, his girlfriend of now 1 year. Aaawwwwww......ain't they cute. That was a trip we took to Six Flags Magic Mountain back in April, it was Kenny's first time there.

This is Ian. I haven't known him very long, but we always have fun when we work together, because we are so alike, especially when it comes to work. We are super nice to everyone...unless you fuck with us. Then heaven help you if you don't step back, because neither of us will hesitate to tell you to fuck off....
Check out the hoodie......wicked awesome.....
These are a few of the people I work with, and spend time with in general. They are also my friends. And we are all trouble....

04 December 2007

So it ends....

Good thing I started playing Halo, and am addicted to watching "R vs. B" all the time...

Otherwise....I'd be fucked.....

Why?

The season finale of "Heroes" was on last night. Shit. Now what the fuck am I supposed to watch?

Well, there are other shows but they aren't quite the caliber of my FAVORITE show...I'll show you...

Monday.."I love New York" is on. Yes, I watch it...watched "Flavor of Love" too. Because they are funny as hell.....I usually watch it on repeat though around 11pm, as "Heroes" is on at 9.
I also watch "The Hills", because it's on at 10, and does not interfere with my show.

Tuesday.."Shot at love with Tila Tequila"..watch that one because it's funny as hell to watch guys AND girls fight over 1 chick...then, of course, another huge favorite of mine, "Nip/Tuck"....great show, but I still cover my eyes sometimes during the surgery scenes..bbleehhhh. I can watch any scary movie like nothing, but anything involving surgeries or things of the like...I'm disgusted with myself right now.

Wednesday..."ANTM"...'nuff said.....and at 10pm, the only show that can even think of keeping up with "Heroes"....."Project Runway"...I love that show. To be honest, I don't even know why. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, and wouldn't wear ANY of it. I think alot of it is cute, just not for me. And of course, "South Park".

Thursday... video games and other such assorted business...

Friday, Saturday.....see Thursday...

Sunday...only late night shows, and they are all cartoons to boot.."Robot Chicken" at 11:30; "Metalocalypse" at 11:45; and "Moral Orel" at 12:15 in the am...then more video games..

This schedule is based on what I watch if I am home...such is not always the case, as I don't really have a set schedule anymore...stupid job....

...always gets in the way of everything good....

Everything sucks now that "Heroes" is over anyways....but at least it was a FANTASTIC season finale...

Noah is alive, and now Claire and the family know it....don't know if this is good or bad yet....

Nathan got shot...don't know if he is alive or dead; of course they didn't specify...

I don't like Mohinder Suresh anymore...his ignorance is starting to piss me off...

Niki was in the building when it blew up....or was she??? I fucking hope not....

As usual, Hiro just keeps getting cooler with each passing episode...Ando is cool too...

Peter needs to go get Kaitlyn....seriously Peter....what the hell???

Matt's powers are getting way stronger....and I think he has the potential to go 'bad guy' on us...I'm just saying it's possible....

Elle/Veronica Mars?...barely worth the mention....

Alejandro.....he was too whinny anyway...whatever...

Maya....glad she's not dead....her character development has massive potential.....

Adam/Kensei....what a burn on you dude....you can't die, but not in the most comfortable of places now, are ya???

And last, but most certainly not least......Sylar....

....has his powers back.....FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I can't wait 'til season 3....
